Introduction:

The Network Administrator (Security) training course is designed to equip IT professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to secure and manage networks in today’s constantly evolving cyber threat landscape. The course focuses on providing a comprehensive understanding of network fundamentals, security best practices, and hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and techniques. the course will cover topics such as subnetting and supernetting, packet journey tracing, and advanced network management techniques.

Throughout this program, participants will not only learn about network administration but also about the importance of network security, the role of firewalls and intrusion detection systems, the significance of network monitoring and troubleshooting, as well as the intricacies of operating system security from both a Windows and Linux perspective.

  • IPv4 & IPv6 addressing, Routing, switching, subnetting, supernetting

  • Introduction to packet tracer
  • Setting up small network
  • configuring ACL
  • Subnetting &Supernetting – Intra and Inter Organizational Network Configurations
Module 3: Network Monitoring
  • Network Monitoring fundamentals
  • Network sniffing and troubleshooting
  • Setting up network monitoring tools
  • Packet journey
Module 4: Operating Systemsand security
  • Linux OS fundamentals
  • basic linux commands
  • Password policy
  • Open ports(linux)
  • File rights management(linux)
  • user account management and rights (linux)
  • Windows server OS
  • basic power shell commands

 

Module 5: Network Management and Security
  • Creation of Active Directory
  • Active Directory services

Module 6: Cyber Security Fundamentals
